The key to success when it comes to diagnosing a
lameness or performance issue starts with a thorough
look at the horse medical history (anamnesis) followed by
a meticulous clinical examination involving a physical
exam and gait analysis. Dr. Bart Halsberghe uses a
comprehensive approach to get the as much information
as possible. Based on the acquired information,
diagnostic analgesia and imaging (including radiography
and ultrasonography) can be performed to come to a
diagnosis. In certain cases advanced imaging (MRI, CT,
scintigraphy) may be needed, for which we work together
with referral hospitals.
• Treatment depends on diagnose, but we offer all reasonable
therapies/modalities or systems of medicine that work together
to improve the outcome of prevention and treatment of
diseases that would not be possible using one system of
medicine alone. We hereby consideration not only the body,
but also the mind and spirit. Our professional equine facility is
built and equipped within this mindset.
