lameness and diagnostics

what we do

The key to success when it comes to diagnosing a lameness or performance issue starts with a thorough look at the horse medical history (anamnesis) followed by a meticulous clinical examination involving a physical exam and gait analysis. Dr. Bart Halsberghe uses a comprehensive approach to get the as much information as possible. Based on the acquired information, diagnostic analgesia and imaging (including radiography and ultrasonography) can be performed to come to a diagnosis. In certain cases advanced imaging (MRI, CT, scintigraphy) may be needed, for which we work together with referral hospitals.
